Q I am currently operating under OS 9. Will version 16 work with OS 9?

A No, version 16 was programmed to be operated using OS 10.2.8 or greater. The current Apple Operating System available is 10.4.3.

Q I got a Stuffit engine failure when I download the 15.3 update .... OR .... I get a error code when the update tries to unstuff.

A In both cases, you might have Stuffit version 10 installed, or no unstuffing or unzipping utility at all. You must have an application that can extract SIT and.or ZIP files when downloading our software.

We are working on resolving this issue, but for now, unstuffing the update with an older version of Stuffit is recommended. If you have Stuffit 10 installed, you should drag it to the Trash and then empty the Trash. Then, access the Stuffit website and click the link at the bottom for the FREE STUFFIT EXPANDER. In the next screen, click DOWNLOAD NOW.

Be sure to change the Operating System to OS 10.0 to 10.2! This is critical since making this selection will ensure that you get the proper (previous) version of Stuffit. If you leave the selection on 10.3 or greater it will simply re-install Stuffit 10.

Q I'm prompted for a product unlock code instead of a registration code when I try to preview a Print & Mail Report.

A If you are using Mac OS 10.2 and higher:

1. Within the Payroll Program, select Edit > Preferences from the menu bar across the top of the computer screen.
2. Click the Printing tab
3. Mark the Use External Forms Viewer checkbox.
4. Click OK.

When you process the Report, you will now be prompted to enter the 12 digit alpha-numeric code.
